Clark Woodard is a versatile and polished professional musician. Whatever the music demands are from subtle tasteful brush work in a Jazz trio to Big Band Swinging Drive and Fire or metronomically concise fusion grooves or Rock and Country Backbeats he will step up and put on a performance of a lifetime. Extremely adept and able to adapt quickly to sudden changes in any type show, he will not only lay down an impenetrable groove, but his easy going attitude and smile, along with the most perceptive ears in the business will make flushing the toilet a joyous symphonic event and a memorable good time!...LOL
Clark Woodard, born in Buffalo, NY. Started studying piano at age 6 converted to studying drums since age 12. Won allstate and all county awards throughout High school, as well as playing numerous professional gigs throughout the Western New York area in Jazz, Rock, Drum Corps, and show environments. At age 18 left with a full music scholarship at Ambassador College, Pasadena, CA. As part of the scholarship duties, immediately began playing for Kraft TV specials i.e. Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly, Lucille Ball, Pearl Bailey Specials affording him experience in High level TV, Radio, and live shows as well receiving recognition in the highly competitive L.A. Music Scene.
Since College has worked, toured, and / or recorded with such diverse artists as Joe Henderson, Woody Herman, Ray Charles, B.B. King, The Lettermen, The Drifters, Fowler Brothers, Jaco Pastorius, Joe Farrell, John Gross, Bobby Bradford, Scatman John, to name a few.
