Electric bassist Garry Goodman is the first 7-string bass guitarist and the first 11-string bassist playing the Adler 11 string bass guitar with a low C# (17hz) string. He also introduced the first 12-string bass(12 individual strings).
His latest CD,"Tap Dance On A Cloud" featuring guitarist David Nielsen and percussionist Alex Acuna debuted at #6 on the New Age Reporter's Top 100 Chart,ranked in the Top 10 for 3 months and stayed on the Top 100 Chart for 6 months.The CD ranked #15 on the Top 100 Chart for 2005 and Nielsen-Goodman Project was nominated for Best New Artist in the 2005 New Age Reporter's Life Style Awards.(http://www.newagereporter.com -see Top 100 for 2005) Audio samples at:
Garry Goodman is an excellent sight reader / click track player, fluent in all styles of music. He is an accomplished soloist and does solo performances on bass guitar . This includes piano style , two handed "touch" playing , performing everything from jazz standards to the Bach two part inventions.
He sings and plays standards , pop , jazz , rock and show tunes.
Garry Goodman has worked with a number of entertainers in Hawaii as a bassist and vocalist.He has performed with a number of recording artists including Jimmy Rogers , Thelma Houston ,Robert John , Frankie Avalon , Little Anthony ,Danny Gans and Kazu Matsui.
Garry is featured in Bassics Magazine #40,Jan.06 and is on the Bassics Magazine's "CD Sampler Station" compilation CD.
Garry performed at the Fringe Festival in New York in August '04 bringing subcontra bass guitar to an off Broadway production for the first time.
